Do you think all of the "missing matter" in the universe could be accounted for by all of the pens I've purchased over the years, have never taken out of the house, but somehow seem to have vanished into thin air? (Conservation of mass, psssh.)
As a matter of fact, I found it. About a week ago. In the same place I had looked before, of course. I must have hit the wrong part of the wave function the first hundred times.

That, plus socks, plus my electronic tuner that should technically still be in my house, but I've run out of places to look and still no tuner.
Ah, well, an electronic tuner may only exist as a superposition of sound waves until it is observed. Keep looking until you find it or you don't.
